My wife and I make it a priority to come eat here when we're down here.
The best time to go is during the evening of the weekdays. They don't have many donut choices left at that point, but everything is still amazing. Plus the weekday night crew is so nice and helpful. If you want a ton of donut choices, when they open (6am) until about 8:30am is the best time to go so they aren't too busy.
Good food and desserts. Try the chicken and waffles. For vegetarians, they have egg salad, veggie burger, pimento cheese, or grilled cheese. Stellar pickles. Double chocolate cake is good but really rich. It took 3 of us to finish one piece. Cherry cheesecake was fantastic. Friendly staff. Our waitress was great.
A great local dining place. Waffle House prices, but great food! Even in the middle of tourist season, they don’t have too much of a wait. Bring your appetite, you won’t leave hungry. I love their sweet tea and their red velvet donuts.
Great for lunch! Ate here with my husband and two young daughters. My 7 yr old''s single pancake was a big as a pizza. I enjoyed the BLT and my husband the chicken & waffle. Key lime pie was so so good! The real thing! I was born in FL so I can spot the fake stuff a mile away. Creamy, light, & slightly tart. Best part was the people! My daughter unfortunately got sick from drinking too much chocolate milk. Had to clean up after her. The staff was so nice. Not a problem at all. As a Mom, I really appreciate a family friendly business!
Don't be scared to order anything off the menu. It's some of the best food I've ever had, breakfast or not.
Someone at the table behind us asked the waiter what was good to eat and he told them a few things before just saying "Anything you get will be delicious." and that is the absolute truth!
