Often times Legislators pass bills and laws and do not immediately hear from their constituents on the repercussions of those same actions. I want to personally thank Senator Gaetz and the other like minded officials that put in place Florida's "scorched earth policy" for convicted sex offenders. It is having a positive effect. Offenders have multiple websites they use in their efforts to abolish Residency restrictions, designations of status and other terms and conditions of their release. These groups are highly methodical and organized with one objective. They want the repercussions of sexually based crimes to be equal to that of a parking infraction. Thanks to the Senator these offenders have designated "Florida" the least desirable state to reside in if under offender designation. That's a HUGE win for Florida's families and we have the Senator to thank for that effort.
