Hands down the most unprofessional team/office I have ever been to. Besides there being multiple sources online experiencing the same sketchy experience I went through----I witnessed it first hand. The place is dirty and completely outdated and doesn't show any references to any medschool he went to, every patient is supposed to be able to look up in every room at the office and see some sort of reference. The inside smells musky and it looks like it hasn't been updated since what looks like 1970, also it's located on the side of a beat down old strip mall. Finally after an hour of waiting he comes in and is extremely condescending and rude and doesn't give me a chance to even say hello. He was hounding me about him needing to take an EKG as well as an X Ray. I just had those tests done less than a month ago but he tells me they couldnt find my records. He obviously just wanted money because I just spoke to my insurance company, along with the hospital, and my medical records are right there in my patient portal. When I told him that I would call for him he raised his voice and very sternly and told me NO and that he will not be able to treat me unless I allow him to do an EKG and X Ray today. I got up and walked out. The place won't stay in business long and I truly hope the health department stops by.
I have been going to this office for 18 years and Dr Barniv is very thorough and has us get our lab work and yearly studies done each year. He checks my blood work to be sure the medications are not causing problems. He does special studies on my heart in the office yearly. He has an X-ray machine and does stress test as needed in his office. I feel he will be there as my doctor if ever I need him. Thank you Dr Barniv for being my family's doctor.
Very Professional Doctor! Have been using Dr. Barniv since I was a child. He is very knowledgeable and knows how to treat his patients like family. I highly Recommend Dr. Barniv as a family doctor. He will do his best to find out your problems and resolve them and help you feel better!
My visit here was horrible. We had a scheduled appointment and they refused to see my 1 year old because I would not give them his social security number (SSN). The SSN was not needed for insurance billing (I checked with my insurance provider). After the office giving me lots of "reasons" for why his SSN # was needed such as: to track patients (uh, how about make up a patient ID number) or for collections (sorry, but you just took my credit card number to be safe, not to mention I offered to pay in advance and he is 1! Collections on a one year old?? Really?! Maybe ask for MY SSN, I am his legal guardian after all. Nope. They needed his.), etc. After them giving me a run around they finally said "because policy is policy". So if you want to go to a doctors office where faulty policies are in place that lead to increased chances of identity theft go here. Unwarranted office policy trumps the concern of patients about their sensitive personal information. The staff clearly needs to rethink their outdated policies and understand the true underlying basis for the policy. "Because I said so" is weak and makes no effort to understand the concerns patients may have. After being refused service we went and found a doctor and office staff with common sense.
I Have been seeing Dr. Barniv for a couple years and I am so greatful for him and his staff. From day one..they have been nothing but nice, compassionate and understanding!! Dr Barniv is THE BEST Doctor I have ever seen in my life. He doesn't sugar coat anything for you, he will tell it like it is without making you feel beneath him (like other Doctors). I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with all who work at the office. Millie is Amazing!! I don't know what I would do without Dr. B and his A-Team Staff!! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a Doctor. As for the prices, sure.. They may be a bit higher than other Dr's in the area, but you get what you pay for. It's like comparing a Porche to a Volkswagen. I rest my case.
